These are my aesthetic thoughts and other things I particularly care about. I avoid politics mostly but care much about the deeper questions of our day, many of which are also the deeper questions of many other previous days. But sometimes the present context is unique and can shed light on the matter. Were I to pick a single reason I launched it, it would be in reaction to the scientism and materialism which is choling the way we see things. I often use the essay form to approach these. Lately, though, I lapse more and more (rise more and more?) into poetry to discuss what I sense. Even in essays, I try to be open-ended. My goal is more to provoke certain questions than to answer them.
