Resurrection Power

But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.
Romans 8:11

Scientists have tried in vain to create life in a laboratory ex nihilo—out of nothing. But so far they have been unsuccessful. No one has discovered the power of life. Yet that is the power God displayed when He raised Jesus Christ from the dead. That is a power we do not understand or know how to explain.

That same power is what brings life to the spiritually dead bodies of humans when they are born again through faith in Christ (Romans8:11). And it is the same power that will raise us from the dead at the end of the age (1 Corinthians 6:14). What kind of power can rebirth our dead spirits (Ephesians 2:1, 5) and bring us up from the grave? The power of the Spirit of God. It is a power man cannot understand or duplicate in a lab. It is a power that is limitless, a power that equips us to fulfill God’s calling in our life.

Be filled with the Spirit of power (Ephesians 5:18). Don’t grieve or quench the Spirit (Ephesians 4:30; 1 Thessalonians 5:19). Depend on the power only He can give.

The same power that brought Christ back from the dead is operative within those who are Christ’s. The Resurrection is an ongoing thing.
